Ikpeazu ya buƙaci a yi watsi da tsohuwar al’adar tauye wa mata haƙƙi, a riƙa ba su duk wani haƙƙin da ya wajaba a riƙa ba su.
Idan ba a manta ba, cikin 2020 ne Kotun Ƙolin Najeriya ta haramta hana mata cin gadon da iyayen su ko mazan su su ka mutu su ka bari.
Kotun Ƙoli ta bayyana cewa ƙabilun da ke hana mata cin gadon iyaye ko mazan su, sun take Doka Sashe na 42(1) (a) da (2) na Kundin Dokokin Najeriya na 1999.
Gwamna Ikpeazu ya kuma jinjina wa Kakakin Majalisar Abiya, dangane da kawo wannan ƙudiri da ya yi a majalisa, har aka amince da shi ya zama doka.
A Najeriya akwai ƙabilu da dama waɗanda ba su raba gado da mata.
Musulunci dai ya wajibta raba gado da mata fiye da shekaru 1,400 da su ka gabata.
