Adamawa Guber: Would Have Been Disinteresting Poll Without Binani, Fintiri?

Would the 2023 electioneering atmosphere be by any means interesting in Adamawa state without either the sitting governor as the PDP, the ruling party runner, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, a.k.a Fresh Air or the Distinguished Senator, as the major opposition, the APC governorship candidate, Sen Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed, a.k.a Binani and/or both? Adamu Muhammad Dodo, the Periscope Global lead Publisher would by means of expostulation put.

The convention of critical thinking and the convener’s conclusions have summarised the would have been defined as the dullness of the poll.

This informed the thematic preoccupation of what the Periscope Global Publishers as convener coined as “congratulatory reception presentation” in honour of the celebrated democratic court victory at both the Appeal Court sitting in Yola and the Supreme Court, sitting in Abuja and in honour of Hon Ahmad I. Sajoh, the mentees refer to as “Sir-Joh”, for the multiple professional and political achievements and appointments.

Earlier in opening his address, Alhaji Umar Sambo Abubakar has commended the Periscope Global Publishers for initiating and hosting the reception presentation that aimed at x-raying the 2023 electioneering atmosphere and recognising the contributions of Hon Ahmad Sajoh in the media cum political space.

The Pulaaku GM who is commended for the successful live coverage of the Binani appreciation rally that held Adamawa to standstill on Saturday, celebrating victory judgement at the Appeal Court that would also aim at reuniting the APC in the state to reclaim the Dougirei Hill, has called on the media practitioners to be conscious of the ethics of the profession.

Sambo said, having Sajoh as a board member of the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria, BON, is a blessing to the entire broadcast media organisations in the state and his support without prompting is duly and dutifully celebrated.

The NUJ state chairman referred to as leadership with humility, Comrade Ishaka Dedan has commended what he described as a taken by surprise invitation to a mini but solid celebratory reception he said was worthy, honouring Hon Ahmad Sajoh’s success, sojourn, where he recollected among Sajoh’s intuitiveness the addition of strategy to the commissionership when he was appointed commissioner of information, in addition to bringing life full of activities in the ministry throughout his tenure.

Dedan commended his members for going by and with the rule, especially while reporting politics, which is not unconnected with the training and retraining initiative championed by the Union.

Joining Sambo and Dedan, the Fact Check publisher, Mohammed Ismai, the TGNews publisher Tom Garba and the News hunter Publisher Umar Hassan Shallpella acknowledged that Sajoh has indeed carried journalists along as both media aid to former governor Nyako and a commissioner under former governor Bindow, trusting that media would be factored in while carrying out his assigned responsibility as a state chairman media, Presidential Campaign Council’s publicity committee of the APC.

Sajoh expressed appreciation to the Periscope team, the media managers and publishers and the the entire journalists in the state, represented by the presence of the NUJ chairman, where he said the reception was a great expectation.

Sajoh the multiple appointed bagged another appointment to serve as member, Public Affairs for Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, PCC. This is in addition to his appointment as the chairman, Adamawa state publicity committee of the APC’s PCC

Sajoh has identified empathy and compassion as the twin pillars upon which the APC governorship candidate in Adamawa state success is founded, while arrogance and avarice form the tragic flaws of a bad leadership bereft of conscious

The current economic situation is a global phenomenon, it would be a disservice denying the fact that there’s poverty in the country.

It takes a leader with empathy for the less privileged and compassion to consider social welfare and empowerment by means of poverty alleviation.

There’s no denying the fact that Binani has more to welfarism, which has endeared her to the electorates for the generic support as exemplified in the peace protest procession across the state against the Federal High Court judgement, which hitherto nullified the party primary election that produced her as governorship candidate and the overwhelming population of supporters joined in solidarity to welcome her during her appreciation solidarity visit, following the Appeal Court Order that returns her mandate.

Sajoh identified fear and greed as the twin elements whose romance produces unprofessional and unproductive journalists jaundiced of journalistic spirit.

The unity of the practitioners is sacrosanct to the success of the practice of journalism; backstabbing doesn’t make journalists any good, Sir-Joh would advice.
